BARBARA JEAN COOK DICKINSON - OBITUARY
SPRINGFIELD, Va. - Barbara Jean Cook Dickinson,
died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003,
at her home.
She was a native of New
Bern.
Funeral services were held
at 1 p.m. Aug. 21 at Quantico
Marine Corps Base Chapel,
Quantico, Va.
Burial was in Quantico National Cemetery.
She is survived by her widower, Doy Edwin Dickinson of
the home; three sons, Garrett W. Dickinson and David Hugh
Dickinson of Virginia, and
Matthew Edwin Dickinson of the home; one daughter, Carol
Anne Thatcher of Virginia;
four sisters, Dorothy Gasperini of Morganton, Sara Keel of
Georgia, and Marian Haddock and Evelyn Register of
New Bern; and five grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes, Association, 1211 Connecticut Ave., NW, Suite 501, Washington, DC 20036.
