RAYMOND DOUGLAS NELSON - OBITUARY
ERNUL - Raymond Douglas Nelson, 78, of Ernul, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
He was a member of Kitt Swamp Christian Church and was a U.S. Army veteran of Korea and Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Toler Nelson; one son, Raymond Douglas Nelson Jr.; three stepsons, William Robert DuPre IV, Alexander Hazelbaker and Robert Rhyne, all of Ernul; one daughter, Susan Nelson Durham of Mars Hill; one stepdaughter, Lisa Carol DuPre of Ernul; one brother, Charles Phillip Nelson of New Bern; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Cotten Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 12:30 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at Cotten Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenleaf Memorial Park.
