Walter Thaddeus Cutchin
Walter Thaddeus Cutchin was born October 31, 1855, in Edgecomb County, NC, the son and first child of William Thomas Cutchin and Mary Ann Barfield. His siblings were Clifford Cutchin, John Richard Cutchin, Gustavus Floyd Cutchin and Nora Lee Cutchin. His father enlisted with the Seventh Confederate Cavalry, C-F in 1862 and died in a Yankee prison in Elmira, NY.
Walter Thaddeus Cutchin married (1) Sara Elizabeth Lentz in Norwood, Anson County, NC, December 21, 1881, the daughter of John Eli and Elizabeth Kirk Lentz and together they had 11 children. He married (2) Sarah Catherine Upchurch September 11, 1900, in xxxxxxxx, the daughter of Osborne Howell and Eliza Caroline Blalock Upchurch and together they had 4 children. Mr Cutchin died February 16, 1926, in Edgecomb County, NC.
